Life is hectic…

I know I have been very lax in posting lately but I am still trying to get on a schedule of some kind. lol Edward Jr. begins school next week so that will just add to the mayhem. Give me a couple of weeks and I will get myself together. I have not even had time to do much crafting, although I have seen quite a few things that I would love to do. Next up I will be making stuff for Halloween. Can you believe it’s already the end of August? I am so excited! Just 23 days until Fall is officially here! I worry that the weather isn’t going to cool off though. It has been unusually hot here and we all know I can’t stand the heat! Ick. Anyway, along with kids going to and from school and school activities I am also trying to work in working out on the elliptical, walking 4 miles a night with Edward at the Y and my normal everyday cleaning and running around. I think I need a wife-LOL-or at least a housekeeper!

I hope everyone is doing great and enjoying watching for sings of Fall! I know I am!!!

Some Fall Decor

Since we are now in a bigger house I realize I don’t have all that much Fall decor. I will be buying and making more throughout Fall and adding to what I have now. Here are some pics of what I have done thus far.

Since it’s not actually Fall yet I still have time to put out more stuff! Plus I have not even started the outside yet. :)

To the zoo

Last night the zoo stayed open till 8 pm for members. It was the last time they will do it for this season a. We had not taken advantage of it at all this summer due to the heat and since it was so nice we decided to go. Here are some pics. I didn’t take a lot because my camera batteries were almost dead but here are a few. :)

The zoo closes October 10 for the season so we need to get as much zoo time in before then as we can!

I know the yard looked better back in May but we have had almost no rain this summer. The color is a bit lighter than I thought it would be but I like it. :) Next up we will be replacing the light fixtures with black ones.

Here are some pics of the dogs and the boys playing around today while waiting for Ethan’s bus.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Pictures from last week

Last week was pretty busy even though my computer was down and I wasn’t getting much internet time. Monday Jessica came home from practice with swollen, hurting ankles. 027 026 We still have no idea why they are swelled and hurting. I took her to the Dr. and he said to take Ibuprofen for a week and if still having problems to make another appt. Great. Yes, her ankles are still swelled and hurting but the swelling does go down at night.

Tuesday was Ethan’s first day of school. He wanted to wear his Thomas shirt and was so thrilled see Diane on the bus again!

The rest of the week I spent painting shutters and normal back to school stuff.

Today I took the boys to the park to play. I had planned on taking them to Burger King to have lunch and play but my stomach just wasn’t up to it.

Tomorrow I will post pics of the house with the shutters and front door painted. Have a great day!

I'm back...

Edward got back home Saturday night from being in California for a week. He fixed my computer (thank God he is so smart! lol) so I am back online. I had been trying to use my old computer, which I set up for the boys to play games, but they kept taking over and not letting me get on! lol School started last week for 3 of the kids and everyone seems happy to be back in school. Edward Jr. will go back to school September 8 and he can't wait!

I finally got the shutters painted on Sunday and Edward got them back on the house. I painted the windows (side lights) on either side of the front door and I have one coat of paint left on the front door and then I will be done with that project. I plan to do the final coat today and take pics tomorrow to post. I like the color but it might take a bit to get used to it on the house.

Friday Edward's parents will arrive for their first visit since we moved to Indiana. We are excited to see them, it's been almost 2 years. The boys are REALLY excited. They love when people visit. :)

I have already started decorating for Fall. I know it's still August but I don't care. I love Fall and I wanted to start it as early as I could! lol The end of September I will change it to Halloween then Thanksgiving decor for November. I have yet to decorate outside but I don't want the neighbors to think I am REALLY kooky just yet. lol Once the scarecrows and Autumn decor goes out they will know. :)

I hope everyone is doing well!

School begins and computer issues...

Today was the first day of school for the girls. They both seem pretty happy with their teachers and classes which is amazing! lol Ethan's first day of school is tomorrow and we went to visit his classroom and teachers today. He is very excited. After that I took the boys to Burger King for lunch and let them play. It was a nice afternoon. I have still not gotten the shutters and front door painted. I did get the second coat of primer on the shutters today though. My goal is to have it all done by Sunday-hopefully.

AND within minutes of Ed getting on the plane to California yesterday I got a virus that attacked my virus protection and everything in my computer. Needless to say I can't use it so I am using my old computer (which the boys use for games) until Ed comes back and recovers my system. Ugh. Viruses are so irritating. What's the use? Nasty little things. And what good is virus protection if the virus attacks it and stops it from working? This same virus got Marisa's laptop a couple of months ago so Ed already knows how to deal with it. So, there won't be any pics of anything until I can get back on my new computer.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Wow!

I did not realize it had been so long since I posted something! It has been busy around here with band camp, kids, getting ready for school to start next week and my normal cleaning. Ed and I have been walking 5 miles a day and frankly it is just wearing me out and I am finding it hard to find the time or energy to think of something to do let alone do it. Once school is in session I should have a bit more time and maybe by then I will have gotten used to walking all those miles!

I am painting the front door and shutters this weekend so I will have that to post sometime next week! Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Circus

Saturday we took the boys to the circus. It turned out better than we ever expected! When we arrived they were giving camel and elephant rides but neither of the boys wanted a ride and Ethan would hardly go near the fence where they were. We went on in and found a seat and got ready to watch the circus. When intermission came and they announced that they would be having elephant rides in the ring Ethan took off and we had to chase him down! He tried to climb up to get on the elephant with no ticket! lol How do you explain to him that he needs a ticket? We told him we had to go pay and we would come right back, which we did. This was such a big step for both boys but especially Ethan. They both climbed right up there and showed absolutely no fear! I am so proud of them both!!!

Here are some pics from the circus. There was so much movement from the performers that most of the 250 pics I took were blurry. I posted the best ones. Enjoy.

In other news Jessica is in her second week of band camp. She has one more week then school starts the following week which means that school starts in 2 weeks!!! Do you think I am excited about this? I so am!!! Teenagers can be so lazy and all they want to do is lay around texting or playing on the internet or sleep. What a life. You would think they would be bored with that after an entire summer of it!

I hope everyone has a great week!
