Family Pics

It has been almost 7 years since we had family pics done. We finally got around to it today and they turned out really good! I am upset that I have put on so much weight after working so hard to get it off but Ed and I are both working out again and going to do whatever we can to lose it (he has put on a bit too).

We got the pics on a CD and there are a ton of them. Here are a few of the really good ones.

Some pics from the last week

Last Wednesday Edward Jr. started pre k at his new school. Here are pics of him getting on the bus. It was the first time he has ever ridden a bus and he loved it! He will go to school on Monday and Wednesday afternoon and Ethan will continue to go on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. They have the same teacher in the same classroom but are going on different days.

The weather this weekend was on the warm side so we went ahead and got our Christmas decorations put up outside. We noticed a lot of people doing that here and and else where as well. We won’t light them up until Thanksgiving though. The pics I took during the day are not very bright but it was quite cloudy and the night pics are as good as I can get in the dark. :)

Marisa, Jessica and I made all of the wreaths. The wreaths on the windows were inspired by some I saw in the Pottery Barn catalogue and the one on the front door is one I made from poinsettias, pine cones and Dollar Tree bells.

I know we still have our turkeys out for Thanksgiving but we will pull them up Thursday evening before we light up the Christmas lights.

We are almost done with our Christmas shopping now. We usually have it all done by the beginning of November but I got lazy this year (and maybe a bit distracted, lol).

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Stay safe and have a wonderful week!

NOEL

I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet but I have been working on Christmas stuff already! I didn’t do much for Thanksgiving this year, I wore myself out with all the Halloween stuff I did! lol

I saw this in the Pottery Barn Catalogue and loved it but knew there was no way I would pay $149 for it. PB is now out of this item but I made my own anyway!!

First I found the lettering I wanted to use, printed it out, then traced it out on plywood. Edward cut it out for me. I painted it Valspars Fired Earth (which I am also using for our stair railings). Then I decided to use some brown glaze on it. I used a lint free cloth and blotted it on. I did this 3 times. It takes a couple of days for the glaze to dry in between. It’s not nearly as big as the one at PB but I love it just the same. I might make a larger one for next year-I am thinking of doing it in silver though. :)

Have a great day!

Swim Lessons

This past Saturday was Ethan’s first swim lesson that he was actually willing to participate in. He did very well. Ethan is in Preschool 1 and Edward is in Preschool 2, he is still afraid to jump in and still a bit unsure of the water although he loves to get in it! Here are some pictures.

Ethan’s lips turned purple after a few minutes but that even happens in the bathtub when he gets cold! lol I am so glad they are both learning to swim now.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Slow

For the last two weeks I have lacked energy. I painted the basement and it wore me out then all last week I forgot to take my thyroid pill in the morning. You would think that as long as I have been taking thyroid medicine that I would remember to take it but I was THAT tired from all the painting. I did not realize I had not been taking my thyroid pill until this week when I went to refill my weekly pill boxes. Wow, no wonder I have been dragging so much! I haven't even had the energy to visit blogs and I love to visit others blogs! It has taken everything for me to get my normal housework done and to take care of the kids. I am starting to feel better now that I have been taking my meds again. I should be back to normal by next week, hopefully anyway. I still have 3 craft projects in the works and one is for Halloween, which is now past. lol Plus I still haven't finished painting that entertainment center that goes in the basement. I am praying that is done by the weekend. :)

I hope everyone is doing well. Chris
