This is a view standing at the windows looking into the bathroom. We have not gotten the window coverings on yet plus there is a big empty space over there, we are thinking of putting an over sized chair by the windows...
The mantel does not look good like this but we are still trying to decide what to do. We bought a mirror and it didn't look good (mantel is quite high) then I was thinking about doing pictures of the kids but now I think we may put a large clock up there and decorative accents on each side. I finally found curtain panels to go with the valences we had and they look great together.
I am also going to do a few things to Jessica's room and the boys room soon. Jess and I will be painting different sized dots on her walls, I am painting wood letters that spell out the boys names to go above their beds along with some wood stars, I have a cute picture frame I am going to hang in their room with a picture of them inside along with some pictures I found online that I will print and make frames for. Jess and I are also talking about painting on the walls in the playroom for the boys but that will come later.
In other house news...we (I) figured out what was wrong with the dishwasher and it is working fine now so we are putting off new appliances for a bit. We desperately need to get 2 new cars first. We ended up buying 1 console and 1 table top humidifier for the house. The whole house humidifier will come but not until we can better afford it, probably fall. We are still trying to get curtain rods and curtains up but with so many other things going on it's hard to find time to do them. Maybe once we are snowed in we will get more stuff done. lol The garage is full right now but it's just too cold to sort through it. As long as we can park both cars inside we are good though.
