This is what happens when I get bored…

I spent today quite busy but by 3:30 I had run out of things to do. I don’t have to cook tonight because we are having pizza and the laundry is all folded and put away and kitchen is clean. I couldn’t find anything to do on the computer so I went to the craft room to see what I could find. I found some sticky backed foam and decided to make some mouse and rat silhouettes to go along the stairs. I know next year since the stairs will be wood and not carpet I will put vinyl silhouettes on the stairs but I had not thought about doing something on the wall above the trim. Less than an hour of printing and cutting and this is what I came up with. I put the big rat on the glass door with the spiders we picked up at Target last night. That might catch someone off guard! lol

  1. Well I'm completely jealous that your house was clean and tidy, laundry folded, dinner planned...the one thing that makes me feel better about your perfectly accomplished day is the fact that you have "mice" in your home. he he heeee

I love that "spooky" font but of course, you used a machine and vinyl so I can't copy that!

  3. Oh that is cute and so festive!! Great stuff. BTW- how do you keep your kids from knocking down the pumpkins? Mine (and I only have 2 right now one due in Feb) would never leave these in there place. Great idea!! Thanks for sharing!

BTW- I find sometimes the best projects I do are the ones when I am bored and having nothing else to do!!

  4. Hi Chris! Thanks for linking up to Theme Party Thursday!
When I first saw your photos I thought you must have used a cri-cut or silhouette, so therefore I would be excused from having to try this project. Let me just say WOW! You cut those by hand! I am really impressed. And I guess I have no excuse now. I have been loving the silhouette look all season...maybe it's time I gave them a try. :)
