Well I am up EARLY today because I had to make a trip to the ER with Marisa. She had her tonsils taken out on the 15th and has had a lot of pain so she was "babying" her throat. Well this morning she woke me up at 5:15 am with blood pouring out of her mouth. My bathroom sink looked like someone had been killed in it. I am not one to wake up and be able to think so of course I was talking to myself trying to figure out what I was supposed to do all while FREAKING OUT!!! I finally remembered that they told me to call the office and get in touch with the on call Dr. I did and she sent us straight to the ER with instructions to gargle with ice water. By the time we got there the bleeding had stopped and she was only spitting up clots. I know, TMI. She is okay now but if she bleeds again they will take her straight to the OR because the Dr. doesn't want this to happen a 3rd time. I just hope it doesn't happen a 2nd time! Needless to say I am brain dead right now. I would like to go back to bed but I just don't see that happening.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!
Oh, no! Tell Marisa that the same thing happened to me when I was 15. I did not mind my mother, and I went to the lake with my friends (my mom had gone out of town on business). She told me to stay home and rest after my tonsillectomy. Well, i landed pretty hard after falling off a rope swing, and I started bleeding profusely. I had to go back to the hospital that afternoon. It was not fun, and I learned earlier than most teens to listen to my mother.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing your finished projects, and I hope y'all have a Happy Easter and that Marisa is feeling much, much better!
(((hugs))),
