Our Good Friday

This morning started like any other; small children ready to take on the world, Mom half dressed and teenagers still sleeping sound. Since I was not quite ready to take on the world I asked the teenagers to take the small children to the kitchen to be fed, next thing I know I have a small child complaining of a sore throat and a teenage girl complaining of the same thing. I made a call to the doctor (which is never a quick thing) and the nurse said since we already had a confirmed case of strep this week he would probably call in medicine for the other 2 instead of making me take them in for an office visit. She called back a little while later to let me know this is what he was going to do. So, I have four kids who have either strep (confirmed on Edward) or Mono (suspected on Marisa) but too late to confirm. It may be what has affected me so badly the last month as well but we won't know unless they symptoms go away which can take weeks and weeks. It has been interesting to say the least.

Today I worked on the boys room some. I found square picture frames at Dollar Tree that worked perfectly for what I was wanting to do so I got those hung up today. I also took a really cute pic of the boys and put it in the frame Ed and I bought months ago and had not gotten around to doing anything with. Here's the picture not framed. This is the only blank spot but I am looking for a star and found that I will be able to get one at Christmas time so I have to wait a bit longer. I am planning to paint the curtain rods red and that should be it for their room (until I think of something else that is!). I also worked on the tree in the playroom. It is coming along pretty good. You can see a couple of spots in the paint where I accidentally put my hand while painting the other color. I will fix those when I do the second coat. I still have to do the third color for the leaves but I had to stop to make dinner. I will get back to it soon. My goal this month is to finish up all projects I have started.

Here are some other pictures from today.
