Busy day

We had a very busy day today. We started off at Edward’s preschool for Open house. He is very excited to be back with his same teachers from last year and even in the same classroom! I was pleasantly surprised that they did that, Edward doesn’t like change so this will be great for him. Of course neither of the boys wanted to leave because they love playing in the classroom with all the toys! I also had to explain to Ethan that he will not be going to school there this year with Edward. He is in preschool at a different school in a special ed class to help him learn transitions and to work on his speech. I told him he will come home with me after we drop Edward off. I think I will take him to the Y and let him play for a bit before we come home on MWF so he doesn’t feel left out. I know he is not understanding this just yet.

Well after that we came home and I switched out the laundry and was out the door again. The boys wanted to go to the Y and play in the kids gym. We spent about 40 minutes there and they were tired and hungry so I had no problems getting them to go home. They had lunch and settled down to watch TV for a bit while I went upstairs to workout on the elliptical.

At 12:30 Ed came home so we could take the boys to the dentist. Both boys had good check ups, no problems at all. YAY!!! I sat with Edward and he was just too cute getting his teeth cleaned. I will have to take the camera next time! Edward was with Ethan and he did much better this time than he did last time. Baby steps.

After the dentist the boys and I took a walk to the pond across the street from our house to feed the ducks bread. The ducks weren’t interested but the fish were. I was shocked to see the size of the catfish in there! Ethan got scared by the catfish so we didn’t stay too long after all the bread was gone.

Seeing that today is September 1 I decided to begin my outside Fall decorating. I put leaf garland around the front door, scarecrows in the chairs and 2 scarecrows in the flower bed. I have more scarecrows but I am not sure yet what I want to do with them. I plan to pick up some more outdoor decor at the Johnny Appleseed Festival in a couple of weeks to add to it. I didn’t take pics but I will try to tomorrow.

After dinner we took the boys to the Y and we walked then let them play in the kids gym again. It’s so nice to be able to let them play inside and get some of their energy out!
