First day of Fall

I know today is the first day of Fall but I am so ready for the first of the year to get here! See, I have to wait to begin my home transformation until after the Holidays and it is killing me! I walk around the house seeing all this icky, orangey trim and cabinets (not to mention the icky carpet on the stairs that needs to come off!) and I just want to get out the primer and paint. I know I have no patience but we have lived here for 8 months now and frankly I don't know how much longer I can stand the ick factor! I really feel like if I touch it it will be sticky like an orange. I know it's not because I cleaned it but still... I am toying with the idea of going ahead and painting the powder room cabinet sooner rather than later (like in October!) but have not really decided that yet. I could go ahead and start on this huge project now except that I have all this Fall decor out soon to be Halloween then Thanksgiving and Christmas. I just can't give up decorating!!! So I must wait. I guess if I do the powder room that will satisfy my need to remove the orange until after the first of the year plus I can use it as a practice room! Hey, maybe I will do the laundry room cabinets too.... Hmmmm. :)
