Sunday Ed and I took the kids to Fort Wayne’s Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown. It’s where places like the Botanical Conservatory, Science Central and some of the Museums offer free admission for the day. We had a really good time. We started out at Science Central at noon and while we were there they were offering memberships for 1/2 price so we got one. The kids really enjoyed that but it got so crowded we lost Edward Jr. one time so we decided to go see something else. I didn’t get any pics at Science Central cause I forgot my camera and like I said it was really crowded anyway. Next we went to the Botanical Conservatory and walked through it. It was nice but also very crowded. I did manage to get some pics of the boys playing outside on the Trojan Horse with my phone. :)
I wish I had taken my camera, Fort Wayne has a very nice downtown. After the Conservatory we took the kids to the Old Fort and walked around looking at the buildings and such. It was neat and didn’t take too long. We had beautiful weather for our outing so that was a plus. The boys got tired after just a couple of hours so we came on home and let them rest. We will make sure to go to different places next year and maybe the boys will be able to go for a longer time.
This weekend is the Johnny Appleseed Festival and I can’t wait. :) We had a nice time last year but the boys tired out and got grumpy pretty quickly. This year we will go on Sunday morning when it isn’t very crowded. And next weekend Ed’s company is having their company picnic at a local amusement park. That was a blast last year. We will get out there sometime around noon because Edward Jr. has swim lessons in the morning. I think we can find plenty to do from noon to 3 though. :)
Hopefully I remember to take my camera and to charge the battery as well to both of these.
Have a great week! Chris
