Busy day

Today we took full advantage of the beautiful weather we were told we were going to get and started working on things around the house. It sprinkled this morning and finally around noon we got the nice weather we were told we were going to get. Ed started off the morning putting up the new storm door. I primed the tables then painted the first coat. I helped Ed a little with the door when needed as well. Once he was done with the door he got to work on our new coffee table. I was planning to do it myself but I already had so much to do with the boys tables (I did a second coat of paint and had to sand in between each coat) plus I need to spray paint the frames that I am using in the kids bathroom while the weather was nice enough to get them done. Those took 4 coats with dry time in between. Once Ed was done building the table I got to work on sanding it. After my initial sanding he filled the holes with putty and I will sand everything again tomorrow with a finer grit paper then begin staining them. Here are some pics from our day.

I forgot to take pictures of the door in the daylight. lol I was kinda busy. That's Chewy looking out the door. He is so nosy.

The door is not white, it is almond. Hard to tell in this light though.

Boys bed side tables after second coat.

Frames I am re-purposing for kids bathroom before priming and painting them.

After final coat of paint.

Here's a picture of the boys playing around on their bikes. It was too wet to play out back today due to all the rain.

Tomorrow we are getting up early and heading to the zoo. After the zoo we will come home and have lunch, go get mulch so I can put it out while Ed mows the yard. Once I am done with the mulch I will be back to painting the red tables and sanding the coffee table. We chose red mahogany stain. I hope it looks good with the brown leather sofas. :) Ed will begin cutting the wood pieces for our bed frame once he finishes the yard. It's supposed to be another nice day but a bit hotter than today-89. Wow.
