Dreary weather

The last few days have been pretty dreary and rainy. I miss the sun. I miss the South. I really do. Things here are dreary and cold and so many of the people are as well. I know it has to be the weather and lack of Vitamin D (I now take 5000 i.u. per day) that makes them this way. I am hoping for some nice weather soon but even when they promise it, it doesn't happen.

The boys are sick of being inside. Last night, after the rain had passed and the sun came out for a little while, Ethan was desperately trying to go out back. He kept telling me it wasn't raining anymore but I couldn't get him to understand that everything was still soak and wet from raining for days. Poor thing.

When we lived in Texas we prayed for cloudy days just to keep the sun from burning a hole through us but now I would love to see the sun. How long we hold on here I can't predict. Maybe this is just a fluke and things aren't always this bad and maybe they are and we might rethink staying here permanently.

Due to our crappy weather I have not been able to paint anything or do much outside. Ed is rebuilding the tables and with his work schedule he has not had time to finish them. Maybe this weekend but I seriously doubt it. If he can get them done before he goes out of town then I can have them primed and painted before he comes home, even if it is raining. I think I can set up in the exercise/craft room and paint in there without a problem.

I also found a really cute shelf I would like Ed to see if he can make one similar. It would go perfectly with the tables he is building but I am not sure where I would put it unless I replace the shelf currently in the boys room with it. I could paint it blue. It would be such a perfect addition to their room. :)
