Thus far today everything I have attempted to do has failed. At 10 am we went outside to put the mulch in the flower beds that we picked up at Lowe's last night and I opened one bag and poured it and it isn't the same as we bought last week. It's the same bag and we took the receipt with us for them to see what we got last time so it should be the same but it is not. I am livid about this. I text Edward, because (of course) he is at work. Frankly I am sick of his job. He says we will return it. Fine but that helps me none right now.
So, I give up on that and we come inside. I decide to hang 2 shelves in the laundry room I picked up yesterday at a thrift shop (a new adventure for me) and the hangers on it won't work. I don't know why they even come with them, I have seen this before. So I go looking for what I know will work and I find 3 of them instead of 4 so I figure I will get one up and pick up more hangers when we return the mulch. It took 3 times of messing up before I got them in evenly. The dang things kept moving on me. I finally got one shelf on the wall but it's not really level. Most people won't notice but I do. Ugh.
Next I head to the boys room to hang a hat rack. I picked up some drywall anchors and screws for it last night. Well, let's just say there are now 2 dime sized holes in the wall that will need to be repaired. The hat rack is currently sitting on the kitchen table.
Today has been on of those days I just want to scream. I had planned to make a table runner (should be simple) but I am scared to death to pull out the sewing machine for fear of sewing my finger, dropping the machine on my foot or something insane like that. I was also planning to do a little spray painting (with a can) but I am worried about that now too.
Maybe I should just go back to bed...
