4:52 am: Weather alarm goes off, I reach over and pat where Edward should be-realize he is not there. Next thought is one of shear panic. Run down and hit weather alarm, hear that winter storm warning is canceled-think “oh, ok, not bad” then hear “Blizzard warning now in effect”. Stunned I turn off weather alarm and head to computer.
This is my first Blizzard. Have kids at home, school is canceled. Husband is in California. Have plenty of food and supplies. Praying power stays on. Debating whether or not to shovel driveway because winds will just blow it right back onto it later today. Will watch neighbors and see what they do.
The only up side to this is that the weather service says we may get a thunder snow. That’s one thing I want to experience in my life but wasn’t sure I would be able to here. Hoping that happens. (Silver lining maybe???)
I hope that everyone who is being affected by this monstrous storm stays safe and warm. Remember “this too shall pass”.
