I started putting photos on the wall in the stairway soon after we moved in.
I wasn’t entirely sure what I was going to do here but I knew I didn’t want it blank for very long. Then I saw such wonderful photo collages on others blogs and on the internet so I started working on mine. This past Saturday Edward pulled out the Gorilla ladder and finished it up for me (thanks Honey!).
Here is what it looks like now.
I am aware that some of the frames don’t have photos in them yet (other than the paper ones that came with the frame) but I will get to it.
Also, I did this by trial and error. I am not patient enough to have cut out paper and taped it on the wall but that is an excellent idea if you are a patient person. I do have quite a few holes to patch but we are going to paint the entry and stairs soon so it won’t really be a big problem.
Please excuse the stair railings not being the same color. We are in the process of painting them and getting rid of the icky orangey oak stuff.
Have a great day!

ReplyDeletelove this! i have an empty area that i would love to do something like this in, but it's a much smaller space. i think it'd feel crowded, but yours looks fab!
ReplyDeleteLove it. I did the staircase photo wall this week too. I was so nervous and had to downsize the number of photos but I absolutely love the results. Great job.
