After dinner, after Marisa finished cleaning the kitchen she came to tell me that there were some funny lines on the stove top. I thought maybe scratches but went to see. She said when she cooked her lunch today that she had heard a “POP!” from the stove. I cooked dinner but didn’t notice anything (other than the fact that the piece of junk stove that came with the house wasn’t cooking like a stove should-AGAIN). So when I went down to look at it I was a bit shocked to see CRACKS in the stove top surface. How dangerous is that???
As much as I hate that stove this isn’t good timing. So right now we either cook everything in the microwave or get a new stove ASAP. The one I want is over $1000, which is why I haven’t gotten a new one yet. I will no doubt end up with a much cheaper one but that’s okay as long as it is stainless steel to match the microwave we had to buy a few months ago when the old one died.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
Sigh. Sometimes I secretly wish for our dryer to give out because it's so old and doesn't do much actual drying...but then I think of the $$!
